Dr. Alison Johnson received both her Master’s (4-year degree) and Doctoral (2-year post-graduate degree) degrees in Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in California. Her 2 years of undergraduate collegiate-level work was at the renowned Scripps College in Claremont, California where she majored in Psychology and Sociology.
Her certificate of Master of Medical Qigong (MMQ) was received after completing a 3-year program in Monterey, California with world-renowned Medical Qigong Doctor, Martial Arts Grandmaster, and author Professor Jerry Alan Johnson. Dr. Alison Johnson is licensed to practice Chinese Medicine in both New Mexico (DOM) and California (L.Ac.), having passed the rigorous California Acupuncture Board Exam, NCCAOM exams, and the New Mexico practical exam. She has practiced in the Chinese medicine clinic for 12 years, since first receiving her L.Ac. (CA) in Spring of 2010.
Professor Johnson has taught for over a decade in Chinese Medicine academia at Five Branches University and Southwest Acupuncture College Master’s programs, both in-person and online classes. She has also taught Chinese Medicine in private courses. In all settings, she has enumerated on a vast variety of subject matter in the 5 Branches of Chinese Medicine.
Her true love of learning and teaching comes through in her engaging approach to education. Her philosophy of continually cultivating evolution as a practitioner is evident in her classes.
